WHY ARE YOU IN A HURRY?
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. Psalms 62:5
Devotion!
Learning to wait patiently on God prepares you adequately to receive from Him. There are many levels of growth and maturity in Christ Jesus. The moment you receive Christ Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour you become born again and a babe in Him. As a babe in Christ, God gives you all the needed attention and provides everything you ask for because you are tender and He wants you to be happy and grow to maturity. There comes a time that God expects you to grow from being a babe to a youth or adulthood in spirit. At these levels He will introduce new things to you. Some of these are hardship, disappointments, challenges, etc.; in the midst of these challenging times the best thing to do is to wait on God and be expectant. During waiting continue to pray and increase the number of times you pray, meditate on the Word of God, fellowship with the Holy Spirit and believers, and sometimes fast. All these spiritual activities will prepare you to grow from being a babe to the next level in Christ. After reaching the next level/stage, He gives you what you need and your waiting is fulfilled. Amen!
