WITH GOD WE SHALL DO LIFE EXCEEDINGLY WELL. AMEN.
That’s what I’m talking about! I’m here sitting between my two sons as I help them study for their upcoming tests, and this mama is not playing. They didn’t make the honour roll last time, but we’re not giving up, we’re going harder this time. By the grace of God and lots of work on our part, we shall crush (do extremely well) those tests! I love this old post I came across yesterday:
“AIM TO BE THE VERY BEST AT EVERYTHING YOU DO – NOT SECOND BEST”
Great advice today from Richard Templar’s book The Rules of Life:
“Wow. What a tall order. This is a seriously difficult thing to aim for – and deliberately so. If you go to work, then do your job as well as humanly possible. If you’re a parent, be the very best parent possible. If you are a gardener, be the very best gardener you can be. Because if you aren’t, then what are you aiming for? And why? If you set out to do something, anything, and you are deliberately aiming for second best, how sad is that? The rule is really simple, really easy. Let’s take parenting for example. What is the very best parenting possible? There are of course no right or wrong answers here; its entirely a subjective assessment. What do you think the very best parenting means? Good. Now, are you going to aim for less than that? Of course not.”
I love that! Like my mom taught me, “If you’re a street cleaner, be the best street cleaner.” And having that attitude is working for me! I say God is my Boss and I seek to please Him in everything I do, and that means always trying to give my best in whatever He has called me to do.
Like spending my day studying with my daughter Julie and her friend yesterday was me seeking to please God by being the best parent. We continued the studies until 1 am, and I then had to get out early to their school because my son, Emmie, was participating in the school’s assembly. It can be stressful at times, but I see this as me doing my part for God in helping Him to raise the best kids/future world leaders possible.
I then got into work super early where I take pride in working to support my hubby. He has certainly earned my love, loyalty, and respect. My goal is to be the best wife to him, not second best. My hubs is super hard working, and he always challenges me to be BETTER by all the love and commitment he shows us.
We both seek to please God and give our best, and God certainly gives us His best, too. I was so happy with a customer this morning who showed up to not only support us, but he wanted to foot the bill on another company BBQ for customers and staff. He kept asking to pay us! To have people like this in our life is such a blessing! After I thanked him, he says, “Always my pleasure, madam.”
When you seek to be the best, good things happen; God Himself rewards us! Wink! Wink!

MARRIAGE AND SINGLE MATTERS
"I’m so grateful for hardships and trials because without them, I know I would never realize the value of light and love and being more than my past."

You are made of love. Pure love. When you encounter a situation, encounter it with love. When you connect with another soul, see to it with love. When you speak to yourself, do so with love. Your entire being radiates with this warmth, and this warmth overpowers all else. God Bless You My Brothers and sisters.
